This was a simpler site, using a builder to setup a simple static site with eCommerce capabilities for those odd occasions where selling products through a website would make a committee members life much easier.
For this I did a bit of research into website builders and their ability to connect to Square. See, the Dingo Cubs were already running a Square for taking in person payments. So the best option here was to connect to their already existing workflow.
The options I tried were Tilda, Squarespace, Carrd and Duda. All had their pros and cons. But non integrated directly into Square. That was until I remembered that Square acquired Weebly in 2018. A quick look around and it turns out Square has setup a fully integrated web experience for the same price as a Squarespace but without the need for external payment processing. This became a no-brainer and within a week The site was up, connected to their new domain name and taking payments for their presentation night.
A nice tidy site that sits quietly in place to provide potential new players a place to get information about the club and their contact details without having to deal with Facebook.
